Usain 'LIGHTNING' Bolt

This 22yrs old guy from Jamaica had shown an extremely out of this world and outstanding performances in the Olympic athletic history at Beijing, China.

He had given the world one of the greatest moments to be remembered for a long time in the Olympics history.

On Saturday night 16th August 2008, he had won the 100meter athletic sprint and at the same time broke the olympic record of 9.84sec and even bettered his own few months old world record of 9.72sec to an incredibly 9.69sec.

While the other runners on that final struggled to catch him, he had already celebrating his win 10meter before he reached the final line. He is seems to be from the other planet.

However, the biggest dissappoinment for me was the failure of Asafa Powell to give his best perfomance on that final. I was expecting him to give a good fight if not win the race as his best record is almost identical with Bolt before the race as he was the former world record holder.

Eventhough another five out seven racer had clocked sub 10.00sec, Usain Bolt had shown to the world that he is the greatest 100m runner in the world.

And last night, he did his magic again in 200meter event. I never deny that he will win the race with ease but it really suprised me that he had also broke Michael Johnson 12years olympic and world record of 19.32sec by storming to the finish line to clock 19.30sec.

I never thought that he will beat the record in this game as he had informed to press that he just after the gold medal and not the record. Furthermore, I also never thought that Johnson's record will be broken by anyone for another 4 years as Bolt himself only had 19.6 something time for the event.

Well, that is what Olympics all about. Records are broken, history are re-written while spectacular moments are to be remembered.

Congratulations to USAIN BOLT for your double sprint gold medal!

And also congratulations to Elena Isinbayeva, the greatest ever women pole vaulter in bettering her own world record to a new mark of 5.05meter.
